Des Moines Clinic opened September 2019. At the Des Moines Clinic our patient care is overseen by our Chief Medical Officer Dr. Loseke, Nurse Practitioner KJ Balignasay, and clinical staff.
Dr. Melissa Loseke
Upon graduation, Dr. Loseke originally practiced Family Medicine with Methodist Physicians Clinic in Omaha. In 2012, she moved to a clinic specializing in treating chronic knee pain with Hyaluronic Acid injections, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Stem Cell treatments. Having a desire to learn and practice more cutting-edge therapies, in 2015 she became Medical Director for a nationwide hormone replacement organization specializing in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and aesthetic procedures. Dr. Loseke has been based out of Omaha since joining that organization, expanding her scope of certifications to include the Vampire Facelift, Vampire Breast Lift, O-Shot, and Priapus Shot, as well as continuing to utilize Botox, Kybella, Juvederm and other related products while offering a multitude of aesthetic procedures. In addition, Dr. Loseke has become one of the leading practitioners in the Midwest of PRP, Stem Cell treatments, and Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) to treat a multitude of various injuries and chronic conditions. Dr. Loseke continually recommits herself to learning about the latest methods and treatments available to help patients lead richer and healthier lives.
KJ Balignasay, NP
Born and raised in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, KJ moved to Des Moines to complete an exercise science internship for her undergraduate degree from Winona State University. While completing her internship at Mercy Medical Wellness Center, she discovered her passion for working with individuals suffering from injury and illness. She then attained a nursing degree from Mercy College of Health Sciences. While working as a Registered Nurse, her enthusiasm for learning and dedication to serving the community led her to earn a graduate degree in public health from Des Moines University and a graduate degree in nursing education from Nebraska Methodist College. She then graduated from Clarkson College, attaining her nurse practitioner degree, and becoming board certified in family medicine.
Alexander Nielsen, Patient Experience Manager
Born and raised in Creston, Iowa, Alex is a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He will be pursuing a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration through Des Moines University starting Spring of 2020. He is an avid Cyclone fan, and in his spare time enjoys working out, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
